This right here is why a good, solid relationship is so important. Maybe your man (woman) showers you with jewelry and praise, but mine makes snarky comments and does things like this - and it means EVERYTHING.
THIS IS LOVE.
I mentioned once before that my husband had to carry me on his back to get certain places. This is a video of the partial trail he piggy backed me through to get to a beautiful waterfall because he didn’t want me to miss out.
(I only shared the second half which was slightly less treacherous because the background of the first recording is full of my kids arguing 🙄).
I wouldn’t have minded waiting at the top so I didn’t ruin anyone else’s fun, but my man wasn’t having that.
He carried me down, plopped me down in the refreshingly cold water, and we spent some time chilling and enjoying nature. I got to watch him and my son climb rocks and jump off the cliff. It was beautiful and amazing and I’m so glad I was able to be a part of it.
My life being what it is, always has some twists and turns, like when we finally got to the top and some asshole had taken my wheelchair for a joyride. So after climbing up a mountainside with me on his back, having no place to put me down, and about to go into a full rage, a nice lady said she saw some guys riding it down the trail a bit. Luckily we found it not so far away- but really, who TF does that?
Despite that hiccup, the day was incredible. I am seriously the luckiest girl and this is my proof.
